Description
Founded in 1832, The Gooderham and Worts Distillery became the largest distillery in the world by the late 1860s. After a 2 year restoration between 2001 and 2003, the collection of 47 Victorian era buildings now serve as commercial and residential spaces, entertainment facilities and art galleries. The district was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1988.
From an ongoing series of black and white photos exploring the architectural elements of the The Distillery Historic District.
Original photography from 2012 using a Canon EOS T1i body with a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens. Reprocessed using Silver EFEX Pro as a Lightroom plugin for the Black and White conversion.
