The Rosehill Reservoir in Toronto Canada was constructed between 1873 - 1874 and was expanded to it's present size in 1966. During the mid 60's panic of a threat of a nuclear war, the City of Toronto encased and buried the still functioning reservoir to protect it from a nuclear strike. A park with a series of ponds and sculptures were added on it's roof.
Gallaxy by Jack Culiner is composed of 20 stainless steel balls suspended on an arch that overhangs a fountain in one of the rooftop ponds. The sculpture was installed in 1984.
Canon EOS 60D body with a Sigma 17-70mm f2.8 DC Macro OS lens. Silver EFEX Pro as a Lightroom plugin for the B&W conversion.
