Description
Completed in 1827 an incorporated in the present block of buildings in 1876, The Bank of Upper Canada Building at No 252 Adelaide St E was the banks branch in The Town of York from 1827 to 1866. After the banks demise in 1866, the building was used as a school, a recruiting centre during the First World War and a bakery. It is now home to a number of small offices. The building was designated a Heritage Property by The City of Toronto in 1973 and a National Historic Site of Canada in 1977.
Original photography using a Canon EOS 5DS body with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM lens and Silver EFEX Pro as a Lightroom plugin for the Black and White conversion.
